* This is a chance to enjoy our present (as well as our past) — it is, in short, a chance to play.
It is not a "meeting" in the horrifying sense we all understand
— that quantifying moment that unleashes a frenzy to bag "the other" as object for some agenda or affordably-adopted view for one's socio-personal sanity in rough and uncertain times.
It is a chance to let "your hair down", to drop judging and judgment.
It is a chance to take a deep fresh breath of air, a chance to let that stale held-in breath out
without fear of being choked by anyone....
We originally stated that people had a certain "bent" and that it was a "political party of a different flavor" to suggest that politics is a rag stuck in the throat, and that it was a group with extraordinary sparkle.
That was misconstruable and easily misunderstood
— possibly creating a panic or dread of reliving the past for its own sake.
It is a chance to celebrate.
We (Kathy and Chris) are the current vector points of the party attendees, and thus it is our desire that designs a way beyond simply multiplying the ways we judge ourselves brought together in a hellish "meeting" wherein we all do that together.
Ugh!
That is quite dreadful and panic-striking.
Rather, this is our shared celebration with those for whom we have admiration, fondness for shared "old times", and an even greater desire for creating "new times", associations, projects, and friendships.
We feel quite isolated "out here"  and this is our way of connecting to a treasure trove of "guests" to share our other guests' new adventures
—  all within an informal and playful atmosphere.
Hence, the games, food, music, swimming, cartoons, films, and Y-O-U!
